top one mach m8!
u don't hear of that many white blokes that were around at that time doing hip hop, but serch sounds good!
I know he done another around the same time (it had a womans name for the title of the 12". "melissa" or something??)
cheers for this one a lot tho'
Good look on this joint--never heard it!
Yeah, Serch had another single. I think it was called, "Contact." I can only remember the chorus saying something like "...Its Tony D and MC Serch. Contact!" I remember it vaguely 'cuz I had it on a cheap-ass Revco cassette recorded from a late-night college radio show from Institute, West Virginia. (WEYS FM 90.9... Go figure that one out). The station's DJ called himself DJ Quick (...predates the other DJ Quick by almost a decade) and the show was called "The Hip Hop Assault." I have one surviving (and short) tape of that radio show that has an early rendition of "The Ruler's Back" by Slick Rick that I've still yet to find. Had to have been a promo. Anyway anybody has that Serch single, put it up, please. I've been looking for years.
Sorry for blabbing so much. You just took me back years. Good lookin' out.
Peace.

i do have that single john, but i'm not sure of the quality. I could put it up if mach hasn't got it?
yeah it's the Melissa/Contact 12, and i do have it but i can't find it anywhere, actually i was surprised i found this one cause i thought they were both lost.
if you don't mind upping it gosub that'd be appreciated.. i'm not too worried about the quality unless it's completely unbearable.
Hey, Gosub, your blog is invite only. Hoooowwww can I be down????
sorry about that john.
I'm kind of an "official contributer", whereas 'depleted' actually calls the main 'shots'.
Give him a shout to see what he says.
laterz m8
Luv MC Serch. He was always my fav in 3rdBass. My brother was a Pete Nice fan. Anywayz, thx for this single. I had it on a cassette from the late 80s but I can't find that tape anywhere.

Nice up! I've never heard this one, although I heard about it.
Stretch Armstrong posted up "Melissa" on his blog not too long ago.

Excellent post! I'll be able to download the "B1" because I love the instrumental music, specially if we're talking about this band, by the way dear blogger... it'd be nice if you can add more bands about it. 2j3j
